Mold Removal Cost Estimate

It is not realistic to estimate the cost of a project without specific information and client requirements. However, the following are the scope of work and the two most common examples of assessments. 

A. Screening: 

When the purpose of assessment is to screen whether or not the mold is present Visual Inspection 

• Temperature and Humidity measurement, Moisture measurement (if needed) 
• Surface sampling. Limited sampling (2-3 samples if needed) 
• Inside the wall cavity inspection (2″ to 4″ diameter cuts are made on suspect surfaces to identify the source/extension of the intrusion) 
• Minimum two non-viable microbiological air samples are collected inside and at least one sample outside the unit 
• Analytical results review 
• Report writing 

B. Microbiological Air Sampling assessment/Species identification:

When a residence makes health a complaint or the case requires identification and evaluation of harmful species more thorough assessment is required. Visual Inspection

• Temperature and humidity measurement/Moisture measurements (if needed) 
• Surface sampling. Limited sampling (2-3 samples if needed) 
• Inside the wall cavity inspection (2″ to 4″ diameter cuts are made on suspect surfaces to identify the source/extension of the intrusion surface samples may be collected and submitted to the laboratory for analysis) 
• Minimum two non-viable microbiological air samples are collected inside and at least one sample outside the unit. 
• Two to three viable microbiological air samples inside and one outside the unit. 
• Analytical results review. 
• Report writing
